    The stunning architecture!
Going to Hampi had been a much awaited trip! I mean, exploring the ruins of such a majestic empire; I was super excited! Reaching Hampi, the first place we went to was this beautifully carved, stunning architecture of the 7th century Hindu Temple! And it was simply remarkable.

Hampi, a very beautifully ruined village, welcomed us with open arms. The people were so warm! *Just like the weather :P* This astonishing world heritage site cloaks many secrets of a world which once was. Curious, aren't you?

The beauty of the demolished. The breeze.
Beauty of the collapsed. A beautiful sight. Broken temples dating back to the Vijayanagara Empire! This one dated back to the 15th century and used to be an elephant shelter. And oh boy! The cold breeze blowing here could take anyone to their happy place! Took me to mine.🖤

Oh what a delightful sight! This big fellow is known as Laxmi. She was so happy playing in the water, taking her bath! Coming out of the water, she stopped by my side, which scared me a bit. She wanted to nudge me! *Aw* Surprisingly enough, she blesses people at the temple!

    The astonishing bath!The ornate structure.
The behemothic bath which of course used to be the Queen's bath shows the architectural supremacy of the Vijayanagara Empire. Believed to be the private bath of the King and his queens, this one was one of a kind. Wish I could see the beauty in its originality. *Sigh*

"Take me back to that time!" Going to places like these, you become so nostalgic for the unfamiliar and for what once was, you wish you could go back to that time. Or maybe it's just, silly me. P.S. Would you look at the precision with which this empire was built? *Wow*

How can this much beauty fit into one frame? The ruined, abandoned empire of Vijayanagara would have been one masterpiece of art. Believe me, it is breathtaking in all its Indo-muslim architectural originality. The forgotten tale of glory lies dormant, for ever.

The utterly exquisite remnants of the most affluent and prosperous kingdom, still stands majestically, taking everyone back to that time. Adoring the beauty of Hampi made us forget about our empty stomachs, you know. P.S. Walking around hampi, it's too hot.

Remembering our body needed to be well fed, we took a break from the magical world of Vijayanagara. Roaming around trying to find something quick to grab and eat and go back to our magical world, we found this place! Amba aunty made us amazing and refreshing banta! :D

Exploring Hampi on foot, even on a hot summer day was fun! We talked to so many people and got to know so much about the enchanting kingdom that once was. After putting the food where it belonged (our stomachs), we went back to explore some more beauty to dazzle our minds with.

You know the most accurate saying about Hampi? "Here stones have souls too." It's true! The beautiful carvings and architect that seemed like a million years old made me go speechless. I stood there, taking it all in. This overwhelming artistry. Just wow!

Going from one moment to the other, admiring the greatness of it all, we came the largest statue in Hampi. Quite interestingly, the original statue consisted of an image of goddess Laxmi sitting on the God's lap. But due to the damage during the raid, this was all that was left.

So the Tungabhadra River is one beautiful getaway to calm your soul. It was the kind of place one would like to be at to unwind and relax. So "the other side", as they call it, had a very assuaging mood to it. And yayy! We got there by the Coracle (the super cute small boat!)

If someone told you that they could show you the birth place of a God, would you believe it? I bet it'd at least get you curious. No? Ditto. So we embarked on a mission to climb 575 steps to see the birth place of Lord Hanuman! And oh! The rewarding view! All of Hampi!

Myth etched in history. That's how I'd describe Hampi. Beautifully ruined. Magnificently demolished. P.S. The "other side" of the river with its hippie culture has a very laid back feel to it. In Hampi? Go explore!
