I have seen many places that are divine, and experienced temples and rituals. But Kapila Teertham in Tirupati specifically has my heart, only by virtue of how special its entire vibe is. It will make you feel the importance of nature and its connection with the divine.

The drive was long, but it wasn't like the way was bad. The roads were extremely clear, the weather was definitely was on our side. We had a beautiful time in the car, laughing and looking around at our surroundings.

    The view
This story begins as most of then do, in a car. A trip to Andhra Pradesh became my travel bug biting me and giving me the itch to explore something novel. My very novel friends are definitely enablers, so we packed ourselves into a car and set off, over the hills and heights.

On the way to the temple, the roads were mostly clear, until we ran into beautiful cows that mooed at us. I assumed that they were greeting us good morning - we mooed right back with all our respect. Needless to say, it was a fun car ride.

    The colours
As came closer to our destination, we passed by this giant statue of Nandi, right in the middle of a crossing. It was an extremely detailed, very well made structure, and it was absolutely insane how regally it sat right in the middle of the city.

To give you a sense of exactly how big the entire structure was! As we neared the temple, we began to leave the rest of the city behind, and it was very exciting to watch the buildings become little dots away in the backdrop.

    The idolThe decorations
Shiva here is referred to as Kapileswara, and his idol is believed to have been installed by Kapila Muni. It is supposed to be a portrait of divinity, and is beautifully coloured and decorated.

The musicThe ritual The feeling of divinity
In one of the main shrines, this was a beautiful ritual that went on. Although I am unsure of its significance, for me, it symbolized a spirit of togetherness. The music was beautiful, and made by several devotees who had come together in celebration.

The waterfall! The sound of roaring water
And finally, we got to the famed waterfalls. This had been one of the first aspects I had heard about, and I had been excited to see it. I already knew that the temple stood at the entrance of a mountain cave, so naturally, the waterfall was going to be a mesmerizing sight.
