Wanting a break from our hectic lives, three of my friends and I decided to head to Shivanasamudra Falls that was around 130 kms from Bengaluru!
We drove down to Shivanasamudra in my friend's car. Left around 6 in the morning on a breezy Saturday morning.
It took us 4 hours to reach Shivanasamudra with a break for breakfast in enroute our destination.
We had so much fun during our little road trip, singing songs, teasing each other, clicking the stupidest pictures one could.
Hearing about a place's beauty is a lot different than experiencing it.
The same goes with Shivanasamudra falls too. People I knew had told me how beautiful the falls were but watching the beauty through my own eyes was a whole lot different.
Shivanasamudra us one of the best waterFalls near Bengaluru. There waterfalls are also known as Siva Samudram, literally meaning Shiva's sea.
It is a segmented waterfall with several parallel streams formed adjacent to each other.
It is situated on River Kaveri and since it was a Saturday it was crowed. People were everywhere.
The island of Shivanasamudra divides Kaveri river into two parts that form the two waterfalls.
This place offers breathtaking sights in the peak monsoons.
We saw a beautiful rainbow at the waterfall and the weather was thankfully pleasant that day.
Thought there are a few other tourist places to visit near Shivanasamudra but we didn't go and visit them since we were enjoying our time boating and chilling.
Our road trip was a perfect outing for all of us and refreshed our minds.
Going back to our usual schedules was difficult after a fun day we had.
We enjoyed the sunset there at the falls and came back to the hustle bustle of the city!
