    Discovering more of Vellore
When I travelled back to my hometown after a long time, I decided not to just be the local girl visiting everyone. I became a tourist in my own hometown and found so many hidden gems and fun things to do that we're right in front of my eyes all my childhood 😍

    The history 😍
My first stop was the famous Vellore Fort. It's the oldest attraction in Vellore. I loved reading the history about the Vellore Fort and I realized how much I was missing out on 😍 It's a beautiful place to just walk around as well. The scenic views keeps you entertained 😁

Church and mosque and temple 😍Walk around to get a good feel 😁
Where else can you a find a mosque, a church and a temple in the same destination? Vellore Fort has all three 😍 It took me quite sometime to really walk around and I could recall some places from when I'd come here as a child. It's such a peaceful place 😋

The architecture 😍Wear appropriate clothing 🙂
This is the Jalakandeshwara Temple which is a really old temple in Vellore. The inscriptions and carvings were my favourite part & there were so many interesting stories I heard from the local people here 😁 I hadn't visited this place before, but I'm glad I got a chance to!

    Walking around the peaceful area
This wasn't even a traditional temple before! It was a weapons storage space and it only later got converted into a Shiva temple with an idol inside 😋 Learning about the myths and culture was an insightful experience at the temple!

Respect the rules of the temple
I went inside, but I couldn't take any videos or pictures. For some reason, I've always loved South Indian temples & the culture. It's always fascinated me and having the chance to learn so much more was absolutely amazing 😍

    Refreshing coconut water 😍
I headed over to the street stalls to refresh myself after an early morning start. I'm a little rusty on my language, but I can never forget it 😍 I had some delicious coconut water and bought some raw mango before heading out to the market area.

The local south indian dosa 😁
Before going to the market, I got really hungry. Coconut water definitely isn't enough for breakfast! I headed to a breakfast place that I'd never been to before and I ordered my usual Dosa - it's my favourite breakfast food 😍 It was yum and totally filled me up 😁

    The variety of stores 😍
I went to the market area next & just explored the area. It's the best place to buy literally ANYTHING - from fruits to household items, you name it and you can buy it here 😋 I just walked around for a bit, reminiscing some childhood memories 😁

    Recalling old times 😁
This place hadn't changed one bit, so it wasn't hard for me to find my way around here. The only thing that was different was the decorations but I think that was for Ramzaan 😋

    Best chinese food 😍
After walking around in the market for some time, I met my parents at China Town. It's a really old restaurant and I used to come here as a kid, but I haven't been here in a while 😋 I was really excited to dig into some of my favourite dishes 😁

Flying my drone 😁Wear good shoes & carry a jacket
After a good nap after lunch, I trekked onto the Palamathi Hills. It was only 15-20 mins from my house but I didn't even know it was there! It's a peaceful place. I've hiked before in the nearby hills, but this is probably the best one in Vellore 😍

    Spending time with mom 😍
Time for a night drive with quick glances at some famous spots in Vellore. We actually just stepped out for dinner but decided to take the longer route there so that I could show you guys some places 😁

This is the famous VIT which is very hard to get into! Many students from all over the country travel to study here and I think it really helped put Vellore on the map 😁

    FREE FOOD 😍
We were craving for chaats, so we decided to go to this 104-year old store which actually used to be a sweet shop. Now it serves everything from chaats to pizzas and burgers 😍 P.S - It's actually owned by my father 🙈

    Gulab Jamun 😍
We ordered a LOT of food 😍 We somehow still had some space for dessert and had gulab jamun. It's one of my favourite desserts of all time 😁 Finally, I got to see the tourist side of Vellore and I absolutely loved it ❤️
