Tenerife was a slice of paradise filled with natural wonders, unique hiking experiences and a laid back lifestyle reminding me her so often that I was that close to the Caribbean!

Incredible viewsGolden coast and volcano rocks!
The canaries comprised of several main lands that were volcanic in origin but as we headed west it became greener and prettier, full of life, beauty and beaches!

The result of the varied islands was that we could enjoy a wide variety of landscapes from golden beaches on the most flat and desert like islands of Fuertevnetura to the pine forests and rocky outcrops of Gran Canaria!

The volcanic islands here provided landscapes that looked like they were from another planet! There were caves, lava tubes and mountains here as well as beaches which had sands ranging from white to gold to black!

My favourite place here was exploring southwestern Tenerife which was far away from the touristic centre: it seems to attract nature lovers and those who favour a quieter time in the country!

But that doesn’t mean that it didn’t have an insane nightlife! This part of town had its own hotels and clubs but in far smaller dimensions that the other areas around!

So while spending the day relaxing in the calm of Tenerife, the nights were full of fun and excitement at the clubs here! Loud music, great food and the best cocktails around.. the locals sure knew how to party.

But my favourite part of this beautiful island wasn’t just the calm of it all or the bustling night lie at the clubs, this place had so many hidden gems and I stumbled upon its greatest..

In the hidden corners of Tenerife I discovered the most beautiful caves. With unbelievable rock formations, shades of blues and greens I have never seen before and bioluminescence lighting up the waters I was truly in awe.

When I came across these caves I had no idea what they were called but after intensive research I found out that these were known as the Pirate Caves which few have actually visited!

Watching the waves hit the rocks filled me with such a sense of tranquility. The rest of Spain seemed so busy but this island was the source of all my calm, it was so easy to forget all my troubles while taking in this view!

I adored the old charm this region had as in comparison to the rest of the country. It was able to retain its heritage and culture despite being a touristy place!

Due to its lovely tropical climate I had the chance to enjoy Tenerife’s beaches almost every single day that I was here despite the season! And each day was a different adventure..

The views from the beaches were unbelievable. There were golden sand beaches and black beaches due to the volcanic rocks all around but each of them were just so pretty! The water constantly kept changing to different shades of glistening blues!

To sum it up, the beaches and caves were definitely the highlight of my time here! There was a beach got every type of person and any mood so one beach could suit a person better than the other!
