Art is art, and I believe no philosophy or quote can substantiate or put up a logical explanation to it! Yes, you've got it right, I'm studying art and it's more than a passion for me! It is me! So when my University proposed that we should tour Tam Thanh, I was more than glad!

The starry nights at Tam Thanh
This tiny fishing village in Vietnam is probably the best part of Asia that has truely inspired me to express myself through colours! A small Hamlet tucked away in a city of travellers, it had a marvellous story to tell!

On reaching this fishing village which was at the remotest part of Vietnam, we started touring the village in small groups to collect stories and photographs from different parts and pickers of it!

Sprawled net across the orange sky
What we came across was a board of fisherman singing beautifully in their own gibberish tongue to encourage each other and keep their spirits up! A semi illuminated sky, the chilly breeze, the walls covered in murals, and the fishermen at their best! Life was magical only so much

As the day brightened up, the walls and other platforms with amazing murals painted on them started becoming vivid and visible! The sun shining bright on the colourful characters was a sight to behold!

You know art is real and an integral part and reflection of our own lives by the imperfections it has! This broken wall with only a few colourful murals hanging by was a canvas ready to be repainted! I could stare at these beautiful images for the entire day !

No wonder little boys would've played around this mural reversing the image as their sole inspiration! I did see a few teeming up with their muddy jersies hanging by their limp bodies! That's the beauty of observing life in a different country from so near!

With day becoming a little humid we decided to take a dip, but definitely not before explored the beach and clicked the colourful boats full of paintings! The sip of the cool coconut water though!

The fact that this coastal village was so picture perfect was due to the paintings on literally every other objects that we had noticed! Even the inverted boats were so picturesque!

Tam Thanh the mural village of Vietnam was rotting away in economic backwardness till Korea decided to collaborate with them and glam it up! We heard the story of how the painters stayed on for two years painting every corner of the city! Stories from the natives are the best!

This was the backyard of our host who gladly cooked a delicious fish curry which was served piping hot along with beaten rice! People did have a heart of gold in these humble villages!

To recline against an inverted floor which looks like the ocean floor is a pure Bliss! I wondered what the fishes would perceive of the boat when it is out in the sea, wandering about!

We saw enough colour to last a week full of dreary sketches, but we thought of soaking in a little more!

The world is too short for art to not impress you! The added advantage would be to look back and have the waves crashing agInst the sandy beach, and that's precisely what he had!

Every beautiful backdrop is worth a picture, even if it's of a passerbys! That's how you remember a country after all!

We bid adieu to this beautiful village with a lovely dinner at the shack that comprised of all things cooked by our hosts with their very own native spices and condiments!

Well no dinner or the journey as a fact, is complete without lobsters and loads of sea food! It was a weekend full of colours, surprises, humble interactions and the broadening of horizons!
