"Hey! are you ok?" he asked smilling, "I guess"- I replied grimancing. I put my bag on the train's tray table, held on to it and doozed off even before replying to "where are you headed to?" question that followed.

I was a little worried about losing the stuff I had with me as the guy sitting opposite was constantly smilling and trying to talk and he could clearly see how I could barely keep my eyes open.

I had not slept properly for about 7 days, was walking all day on 3 hours sleep everyday and no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't stay awake on that train ride. The ride from salzburg to prague!! Without a passport

I knew it's a beautiful ride and I wanted to look outside the window and enjoy the serene journey, maybe be friends with that person, know where he was going, tell him where I was headed to but it was 5 AM, I was on the train straight out of a night club, a few beers down

But I certainly couldn't. After few stations the guy woke me up smiled and bid adios asking to take care remaining an acquaintance that way.

A while later the ticket checker arrived, woke me up and asked for my passport.I looked in my handbag, luggage, everywhere and that's when I finally was wide awake to realise that I didn't have it anymore and yeah I was crossing borders.Ohh boy did I freak out?

Sitting in the common area of my hostel in prague I was evaluating if the elderly man at the reception will throw me out for not having a passport or allow me to stay considering I had a pre-paid booking for three nights and was carrying a Swedish residence permit

"I can't let her stay unless she has a passport because its illegal and if she moves around without it she will have to pay a hefty 50k euros fine, others can fill this form and checkin" he lased out looking at a friend putting them in a spot where they wanted to rest their asses

After sometime the man pacified and allowed me in but that wasn't it.Neither was the passport stolen nor I droped it somewhere but if you have made it this far of this long post then before I go on about if I found it or how and when I got it,it would be great to know if you read

Day 2 in Prague without a passport while my friend figures out how she can send my passport to me which I left at her place in her bag. I have no idea how it ended up there but now that it had it was not possible for me to again cross borders and get it.

I asked her to give it to anyone coming from salzburg to prague so that I can collect it from them but she was sceptical that they might lose it and well, it could have been very troublesome if that happens

I huged the girl from china who was waiting for me at the bus stop with her family and my passport in her hand. I told her how happy I was to see her and she asked me to be careful the next time.

All this while I was wondering if I were her, would I do it? It's a serious offence and she might have faced serious charges for passport smuggling but she anyway did it. I think it is people like her that restores my belief in people

I am not sure if its good or bad but overtime I have developed so much trust in people. May be because the people I mostly met were so amazing that I have very less bad experiences to doubt people of their intentions. I know what all could go wrong but my heart always says TRUST!
