Mudumalai National Park has given me one of the best sights I have seen k my life: a dancing peacock. Not only did I get to see this elusive creature, but I also actually got to see him dancing!

Being a jungle junkie, and more importantly, animal enthusiast, I'm blessed to be in Karnataka which has animals like this pack of stags. Truly majestic!

To be clear, I'm not a fan of monkeys, and they certainly don't like me. However, I couldn't resist clicking a picture of this family cuddling up. Sometimes you have to be a part of stir to understand true love 😋

The park allows a lovely campfire after sundown, and I'm glad they do because the ambience changes considerably. Beside the first, hearing the occasional grunt of a wild animal adds a layer of creepiness in the atmosphere.

On the other side of the shared border is the Bandipur National Park. This park gets funding from NGOs, which is good because nothing is more exciting than seeing wild elephants up close from the safari bus.

And here is had a glimpse of the tiger. We weren't allowed to get close to the big cat, but the sight of his powerful, symmetrical body and smart, clever eyes were terrifying and awe inspiring just the same.

Because I had my trusty camera I was able to capture this beautiful deer as well. I almost missed this wonder because I was birdwatching, but I was glad to hold the deer in frame before it ran away swift as an arrow.

Karnataka is full of peacocks! I couldn't believe that I saw a second one here, but watching them made me feel very happy. My trip was so cool, and I hold the memories of this trip close to my heart.
