    Through the woods!
I wanted to take a cab till the Galu Devi temple to shorten our trek by around 3 kms but my fellow friend insisted on walking all the way. The pathway stretched through a dense jungle and the start itself was so pretty and refreshing that we were super excited for the rest of it.

    Fascinating stories of the locals.
This was our first pit stop for refreshments, right at the point where the motorable road came to an end, and the actual trek began. We took a tiny coffee break and started gelling-up with the shopkeeper who told us fascinating stories about the kind of tourists he comes across.

    Painted skies!
These big bad black clouds were pretty pleasing as we climbed up, keeping us from the harsh sun, but eventually fucked up the much anticipated sunset view after we reached the top. :l

    First sight of snow!
The walk was quite easy with the dense clouds sheltering us from the sun and the cool breeze all along but it got a little tricky as soon as the snow came into the picture. Although it was a bit tricky, the first sight of snow made us super excited for what was coming!

    The final turn!
This one was clicked at the final turn of the trek! To my left, another 20 steps ahead, was the Triund Top and I couldn't wait to feast my eyes with the mighty Dhauladhars. The snow started getting thicker and we had to walk even slower. This added up to the excitement even more

    The Final Destination!
Part 1 : I was not into the idea of trekking before this happened and my fellow friend had to drag me to every place we went before this trek. But after reaching the top, I realised that though a major part of it is for that one spectacular sight at the end, but not all of it.

    The mighty Dhauladhars!
2: It's a complete experience you know, right from the moment you start walking, all the people you come across, all the stories the locals have to offer about the place, their peculiar sense of humour & obviously that final magical spectacle. I'm sure you'll be amazed by yourself!

    New Friends!
As you travel, being totally responsible for yourself, it is inevitable that you will discover just how capable you are. Also, one of the best part about traveling solo (or with a taciturn fellow) is that you make a lot of new friends along the way, which I'm always up for.

    Unreal!
It was all so dreamy, so beautiful, like the land of Narnia! I almost forgot that I had been walking since last 4 hours and went on for another stroll after reaching the top. I didn't want to close my eyes. It was so mesmerising. I wished, in that moment, if I could just stay!

    Freezing fresh snow!
So I gave it a second thought sitting there 'cause the snow was too friggin cold and it was quite steep. But then, you know it's better to do it than regret it later! 👻 It was crazy awesome!
