    Breathtaking viewsBeautiful sunrises and sunsets!
Always wanting to take a solo trip since I could dream of, I took a decision of going of Vattakanal (which I had read about in an online article). The itinerary of the trip wasn't planned at all and I'd thought of keeping it spontaneous without having to schedule anything.

The only thing which I knew won't change was reaching Vattakanal on a Friday evening/night and leaving on Sunday evening/night depending on whatever I was going to do that weekend. I checked-in at Edwin's, a guest house with a room as cheap as ₹400 bucks a day!

Can be chilly during the evenings.Fresh air! 🤓
I met fellow travelers at Edwin's and Altaf's cafe (where I had all my food during the weekend). We spent the night with a lit bonfire, talking and laughing. A group of 3 Israeli travelers invited me to join them for exploring the village. A day of fun was waiting ahead of us.

    Best mountainscapes
I woke up early next morning to capture the sunrise from my room's balcony and left to take a small walk to enjoy the fresh air. The view was so mesmerizing, watching the Palani hills down below. The 4 of us met for breakfast, packing eatables and other stuff for our sightseeing.

    Mouthwatering Israeli food.
Altaf's cafe served a variety of Israeli food, from hummus to babaganoush. The cafe was painted with trippy artwork and the view from each table was spectacular. Whenever I had to have food I came to Altaf's. It was a go-to place for everyone be it for bookings or lodging.

    Memories!!
After breakfast on my 2nd day (Saturday), we headed towards the mountain view point. The oath is lined with tree roots which form a staircase and can be slippery too during the monsoons. When we reached the top it felt like standing on a cloud. I felt like I could touch them.

    Thrilling experiences.
We then head to Dolphin's nose which was a half an hour downhill trek. Dolphin's nose is basically a narrow pointed rock jutting out of the mountains. The valley down below was haunting but it was beautiful. The various layers I could see was surprising.

As we had time, we head back to Edwin's to chill. Our plan was to explore the echo point and the waterfalls the next day. Shouting at echo point was so much fun even though we were adults, we behaved as if we were kids again.

Watching the stars was not a sight in the city and leaving Vattakanal was so difficult. It was a memorable trip, making friends and accomplishing travelling solo. Vattakanal definitely have me some of the best sunrises and mesmerizing views wanting me to come back for more.
