Like everybody else my main goal this year is to be my fittest self and have a positive mental attitude. To help keep this up, I have shifted to morning walks at Cubbon Park.

I can now understand why people call it the lung of Bangalore. In the mornings, especially, there are very few people in the park. The eerie silence gives me the perfect space for restrospection to build up my mind.

The park may be devoid of people at the time I visit but it's definitely not free from the residential pigeons. I have often come across flocks of pigeons all over the park. Some people like to chase them away, but I enjoy watching from a distance.

I have seen many old people visiting these parks and feeding these pigeons. The pigeons love to follow them around and its actually pretty cute! Along with pigeons I have often come across Indian Ringnecks as well. Their calls are a great way to wake up in the morning.

I simply enjoy jogging along the park. There are very little vehicles then, which means less pollution affecting my allergies. If you're lucky you might come across police officers jogging around, and sometimes, even footballers.

There are so many unusual looking plants here! It's one of the reasons why I enjoy visiting this park. This park has made me realise that it's important to preserve parks because with call truly serve people like me, who seek solace amongst the trees.
