With my semester exams coming to an end & winter holidays around the corner, we escaped to unwind with the pristine view of the hills and coffee plantations in Chikmagalur.

    The journey 🚗Family time 👪
We started from Bangalore at 6 in the morning on a Monday via NH75 highway, the fastest route to our destination. Enroute , Shravanabelagola was a perfect halfway point to visit.

A place of historical importance 🙆
Shravanabelagola is one of the most popular jain pilgrimage centre. On  climbing about 500 steps  we could get a closer view of the famous Gomateshwara statue which is supposed to be the tallest monolithic stone statue in the world.

The hospitality 💯Beautiful resort indeed! ❤
By the time we reached Chilmagalur it was almost dawn and we headed to Trivik, where we had our reservations for the next three days. At Trivik, we were given a traditional welcome with garlands and a welcome drink as soon as we arrived.

All that one can wish/ask for 😍
In the heart of Chikmagalur, the Trivik hotels & resort is set on the Chandra Dhrona hills of the Mullayangiri range. Oh my! From luxury views, authentic dine, spa, play area  to a divine infinity pool, Trivik just left us stunned.

The luxurious rooms ❤The view from the room 😍
We had the cottage with the view of the mountains. As gorgeous as the outdoors were, the interiors were pretty impressive too. My favorite aspect was the ceiling to floor windows giving the impression of being smack in the middle of the nature.

    A view like that 👆
Mornings at Trivik are something you won’t  get to witness elsewhere. It almost felt like waking up surrounded by the fog covered mountains and hint of greenery everywhere you look. Plus the private balconies to drink fresh coffee (of course when  you are in Chikmagalur) in.

My favourite part of the resort 💟
The infinity pool at Trivik is another favorite and something I can’t get enough of. I spent the maximum time here sipping my Cosmopolitan and soaking in the beauty that the hills of Chikmagalur had to offer.

    Bon appetite! 💁
Our package at Trivik included food too & their multi-cuisine buffet  was really good. I have a really good appetite and I sure did make full use of it. From Indian to Chinese and Continental, I managed to try all the food options available.

    A well planned getaway ✔
We had 3 days and way more places to explore and experience. I had already done my research and had my list of places to visit ready! My list including all the places one could visit around Trivik.
  • Mullayanagiri
Watching the sun set from the peak❤
Since we were at the heart of Mullayangiri, it had to be our first exploration. The hills are known to be the highest peak in Chikmagalur and is one of the best trekking destinations in South India. The spectacular sunsets from the top of the peak is really mindblowing.

This beautiful brook at Bhadra 👆
I am wildlife lover and this place had been on my bucket list for quite sometime. The safari into the sanctuary was one hell of an experience & I promise it will leave you enthralled with its variety in flora and fauna. Bird watching at Bhadra  is among one the most cherished.
  • Chikmagalur
Thr greenery 💚The essence of coffee
No trip to Chikmagalur is complete without a visit to the coffee plantations and there’s nothing like the smell of coffee t. Walking through those lush, green plantations & talking to the locals about their brew &tasting their finest blends was a great experience.
