    The Garden of Silence.
They say, silence has a meaning. A language of its own. And that's quite true. Sitting there that night, with all lights gone but one, it calmed my soul. The wind was a little colder, the stars shinned a little brighter, the ambience was a little more heavenly. Chandigarh. :)

I decided to go meet this friend in Chandigarh. Since it was a spontaneous plan, I took a Volvo next morning to go surprise her! :P Borading the bus from ISBT Kashmere gate at 8 in the morning, all I had was 1 day to explore Chandigarh. I reached in few hours and 'Dhappa!' :P

    Elante Mall
    Elante Mall.
It was a surprise, indeed. :P We had met after so long and the foremost thing we did? We ate. This was the first place we went to. Elante Mall, a huge mall with so many brands and food outlets could be a little day out in itself. We talked like crazies over food and drinks.

Sukhna Lake. The serenity of the surroundings.
Oh! I didn't know a man-made lake could look so enchantingly breathtaking! We walked by the lake and talked like long lost friends meet after an eternity. It didn't even occur to us that the sun has set. We sat by the lake. And I watched how beautiful the place was! :')

    The vibe. The calm.
Oh! The shades of the sky leave me wondering! It was a very calm place. People were all busy in their evening walks and we were walking by this alluring lake. Looking at how extraordinary it looked and in no time did our stomachs made us realise that it was time to eat. :P
  • The Brew Estate
    The Brew Estate
The must try place for beer lovers.Draught Beer. 🍺
We were going to have dinner but somehow we ended up here for the best beer that this places served. Listening her all babbling about just how extraordinary the beer is, we ordered it. I'm not that much of a beer person but God! It tasted amazing! Hands down the best beer EVER!

    The Brew Estate
    The peaceful city.
After such a happy experience at The Brew Estate, we headed out for dinner. :P The roads were all so quite and there was just something so peaceful about this city that calmed you. The wind felt rather cold for an autumn evening. And we made our way to Ministry of Bar Exchange.

Ministry of Bar Exchange. The ambience. The music.
Well, we reached. And I absolutely loved the ambience of the place, first thing. The live music being played added a certain charm to the place and it was one amazing setting. There were alot many people and the place was throbbing with the enlivening music.

Ordering the best of all that i like, we ate heartily and it was delicious. The music in the background added as the perfect setting for all of the people. It was then that she told me that The garden of Silence looks wonderous at night. What second thoughts then? :P

The Buddha statue.Garden of Silence by the night.
Oh! The picture is no comparison to how beautiful the garden looked! We sat there, in amazement of the beautiful Buddha statue and how wonderously peaceful it looked. The hazy lights in the distance looked insignificant. We talked about school, college, just everything. :)
  • Sukhna Lake
    Sukhna Lake
The beautiful morning by the lake.
Realising it at 1 in the morning, we went home, and drifted off to sleep. Waking up early (not so me :P) we came to Sukhna again to witness the beautiful morning. The wind was blowing very sweetly and the birds were chirping in the background. Everything was just so calm.

    Garden of Silence sunlit.
Garden of Silence was a part of Sukhna, like on the other side of it. Connected by a pathway. This is just in case you want to see how divine it looked sunlit. After spending some time, we went home to the steaming hot aloo paranthas waiting for us. :P
  • Rock Garden
    Rock Garden
The Rock Garden. The creativity. The beautiful waterfalls.
Now that I had a little time on my hand before taking my bus back to Delhi, we went to the Rock Garden. And God! How creative! It had beautiful man made interconnected waterfalls and countless other things made of scrap and wastes! And it looked just wow!

    The lost kingdom: Rock Garden.
Witnessing such ingenious work in the Rock Garden, by a person who spent 20 years personally creating more than 2000 sculptures using stones, debris, and what not which was left from the destroyed villages at the foundation of which Chandigarh was built, it was magnefic.

It was time to bid adieu. Boarded my bus. To be honest, I didn't really expect Chandigarh to surprise me but indeed, it did surprise me in unexpected ways, it was one beautiful city with a story of its own.🖤
